Neurodivergence Therapy

About

Ello Therapy is dedicated to providing specialized care for individuals previously diagnosed with neurodivergent disorders and those who believe they may be neurodivergent.

Neurodivergence is a term used to describe a range of conditions affecting brain function. Examples include Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

At Ello, we offer a range of evidence-based treatments designed to help clients better understand themselves, manage symptoms, and regain control and well-being. We aim to provide a safe, supportive environment to foster healing and recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common symptoms of ADHD include talking excessively, being easily distracted, restlessness, difficulty staying on task, difficulty focusing, time management concerns, disorganization, fidgeting,  interrupting others and impulsiveness.

Common symptoms of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in adults include social challenges, repetitive behaviours and sensory challenges.

This can include difficulty understanding social cues, making eye contact, initiating or maintaining social interactions, understanding other people’s feelings or points of view, responding to conversations in an expected way, and making friends or bonding with others.

It can also involve needing the same daily routine, disliking abrupt changes, being sensitive to loud noises or bright lights, being very obsessive about certain things,  taking things very seriously, or having a keen interest in certain subjects or activities.

If you are experiencing symptoms that interfere with your daily life, relationships, or ability to function or want to understand yourself better.

This can involve assessments for neurodivergent disorders such as ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder.

During your first session, your therapist will guide you through the therapy process, ask questions to understand your problem better and get to know you from a holistic perspective. Many individuals and couples find hope and relief in their first session after taking the critical first step toward improvement. This initial session frequently leads to new realizations and insights.

We treat both individuals and couples seeking support to understand themselves or each other with neurodivergence.

You and your therapist will work together to figure out a schedule that fits your needs and lifestyle, whether it’s weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Research has shown that individuals and couples who attend counselling regularly often find the most positive results. It’s all about creating a supportive routine that helps you thrive!

It is common to feel concerned about counselling costs, but viewing it as a valuable investment in your well-being is essential. Taking this step for yourself can lead to meaningful change, and the cost of not seeking help can be much greater. Remember, many extended health care plans offer coverage for these services. Your health and happiness truly deserve this investment.

$160 per hour for both individuals and couples.
